Syracuse is a Hos! They managed to play six overtime rounds last night and now they just finished an over time in the West Virgina game, and they won!
They just played two basketball games liiiike 19 hours ago? and they just played this game like they were fresh and well rested?! Come on? these kids want the Big East, and with Georgetown out, eh i won't go as far as to say that i "want" Syracuse to win the Big East Conference. But they do deserve it.

Economy.
I hear back about my final student loan tuesday. At this point i've earned enough to study and live in dc, but not enough to eat, drink, chill, pay bills, drive, buy dog food, to live.
My loan officer says "well you know in these times its nearly impossible to get a loan,-"Yo newsflash Jon, you should keep those comments to yourself"-- but I have hope that this will work out. I also have plans "F" and "G" and then i'm back to P7.
Why, in a country known for it's easy access to opportunity, a country whose average IQ drops with the premier of every new reality show, is it so hard to obtain education?
I have a better chance of getting a house and a car. Wait i did just bought a car! and it cost less Before financing than my education.
I hate to sound old fashion but i remember the good ole days when getting into a good school, was the hard part...

A Little Frustrated

OK, i've said it before: I'm 24, almost 25, dual degreed, and i'm not to shabby on my feet. Still i can't find a decent job, and when i do (i.e the Legislative Analysts job in Dekalb County) the position is saturated with other "qualified applicants," so they send me a telegram saying they'll let me know if they need me.
Americorp was great, tried working with P.I.R.G., You know, try to do good for my environment and myself, but volunteer and non-profit work doesn't pay rent.
Money I NEED IT!
Truck is Dead, can't get to work til i make money to fix it?! Digest that. "Buy a new one La" yea, ok folk and kiss Georgetown and Law school goodbye for the next five years hmmm, greaaaaat, at least I'll look cool in my Ford Escape, or whatever... talk about a two-sided coin.
Is it the economy? It can't just be outsourcing, though how i despise thee, or the stock market, or the housing market. Is it Atlanta? Is it me? its me isn't it?
