Can't Sleep Clowns will eat Me

?
I've been going out a lot lately, partly due to the fact that I am leaving Atlanta soon and I am trying to "bask in the ambiance." But maybe also to distract from the overall scheme of things:
I AM MOVING ACROSS COUNTRY IN TWO WEEKS WITH NO PLACE TO LIVE, NO MONEY, and A Dog
--- Just an acceptance letter (to Georgetown) in my hand and the little sanity i have left.
little nervous....
...no, i am freaking out

buuuuut i'd much rather be worried about lets say, Georgetown, than who is seeing who, and who sleeping with who and isn't suppose to know and finding out the ex is the boss of yadda yadda yadda "Ya Trick Yaa!" (...i still can't believe a 17 year old became a millionaire off of that song)

I almost don't want to leave Atlanta this time its not that bad...wow, i said that?

Atlanta people are concerned, it seems, mostly with chilling, getting by and Drama. Chilling cause its easy (i've never met so many people taking the 7 plus year college route..and still go straight thru...but hey why not?), Getting By, because the economy is ROUGH right now on everyone but esp my generation, those with little wealth and a O' LOTTA debt! and the Drama because its a cheap easy way to give people that "i'm important" feeling. And its temporary if need be, so it a great way to bring excitement to an otherwise boring life.
I like the idea of just minding my own business, loving all no matter what (yes, even if you don't like, or agree with them), and (my fav) getting a meaningful life!

I can't stay in a place where I DO NOT GROW:
I think working in a restaurant again was a good and bad idea, good because I've met a lot of kick ass people. BAD, because i've meet a lot of selfish, IGNORANT, greedy, DUMB, drama filled self righteous (mainly Buckhead) people that make me understand why this world is headed for self destruction. "Lay down with Dogs, and you'll Wake up with Fleas,"---Ben Franklin.

The complacent, the number of people who concentrate on "Just Being" gives me chill bumps. So i gotta jet cause whatever game was playing when i got here wasn't the game I got tickets for.

No to spending time/money getting a degree in order to "serve" people the rest of ones life, and i am not, and will never knock anyone who does so (or exotic dancers), it is good money, it does buy houses, and cars. But not fucking happiness,
I'd rather be dead broke on the side of the road during legally pro-bono work, or anything GOOD for people, and happy, than, waste away the talent, and the intellect that i worked so hard to obtain.

In D.C. i feel like everyone serves some kind of significant purpose to the overall scheme of things, and stats don't lie, the DC area (MoCo) is about 60% smarter than the overall Atlanta area. Meaning 9 out of 10 people i run in to will be able to carry on a decent conversation, compared to the 3 to 10 ratio in the "Dirty South" My genes are getting wet just thinking about all the "brain-EE-acts"

i'm rambling.....six hours of sleep to 48 hours of Go will do that to you.....where's the nyquil?.....

not gonna proof read

Real Quick Like

?
This is my week of NO DRINKING. definitely maxed out my party intake this week. Don't get me wrong, i had a lot of fun, but i am getting to old for this.
So

1. D.B. Hobbs, Great Buy, not bad taste, Worse hangover you'll ever have off of four beers! (if you don't usually get a hangover off of four beers)

2. Doesn't matter who you are, or who you love. There is an awesome show on Thursday at MSR RAW TALENT 2008 is down to two! Come out and catch a great act the one and only SKYLER LEE!!!!!!!!! Click on the link, you'll get all the info for the show. $3 Jager Bombs too!

3. and this for serious ...Sean Bell..was shot dead by Three Off duty, plain clothes Cops (two black one white, and No that doesn't matter) 50 times. Yes 5ive zer0. Meaning at least two of the officers had to reload. Sean Bell, shot dead November 25th 2006, hours before he was to be married, was unarmed outside of a night club.
Why officers, off duty and plain clothed, are allowed to go out, and possibly drink, at clubs, AND STILL CARRY THEIR GUNS is beyond me.
What is farther beyond me is that a Queens City Judge (corrupted) ruled that all three Officers where not guilty of a crime. I rarely agree with Al Sharpton, but this Is INJUSTICE.
Don't be complacent with this society, its all kinds of wrong Justice for Sean Bell

4. the NFL draft is about to start [I got a Big Ole Smile on my Face!]...i said no more beer, but i have one Coors left, and they ARE sponsoring the draft, so i need to thank them in some way?
Matt Ryan is to not strong enough for Atlanta, Falcons need southern Blood on the field, they need DJ Shocley as a QB Hands down, thats my story and i'm sticking to it.

Dear Camel,

?
I appreciate the coupons in the mail,
They save me much needed green.
But the coupons inside of an empty camel pack inside an empty box within a box is just to much,
Thank you for saving me money, but please save some trees.
Send me my coupons in an envelope please.

Sincerely,
LaChaBenn

what is going on?

?
OK the Barbie Bandaits? That was enough , so I’m hearing this story about this girl who was beaten by five of her “friends”...... What you missed it?

OK OK you don’t have to watch the whole thing, its like 10 mins long.

SO the eight teens charged with committing this insane act are being charged as adults, with battery, kidnaping (a felony) the list goes on. And when I watch Nancy Grace and Glenn Beck get teary eyed about the issues and passionate about the charges i think, "hmm maybe this is a big deal, maybe something will come of this," but lets get real: These kids are white.

ewww I think I just stepped on a toe? awkward

Look at the Barbie Bandits, two perfect 7evens who ROBBED two separate banks in my hometown part two, Cobb County Georgia. These %#$% got probation? The black guy who “aided and assisted them” received 10 years in jail, but used little to none of the stolen money.
Ok its not a race thing, but if my best friends (of color) and I decided on a similar hair ball scheme our assess would be in jail! If you have a facial piercing, many tattoos, ears over 8g, maybe openly gay or just darker skin you’ve been discriminated against, I’m sure. Or maybe I am assuming to much.
But I’ll bet money to anyone ready to throw down, that at least four of the seven people involved in the beating serve Zero jail time. Anybody?
And what is the deal with Dr. Phil’s producer getting one of the girls out of jail? This society is SCREWED UP, what is going on?

I mean really, Its the Olympics!

?

did you hear the one about the French News reporter who got attacked while carrying the Olympic Torch and surrounded by 8ight Chinese crowd control guards. Yeaa she was pushed to the ground, the torch was put out and French police had to intervene. The torch is meant to stay lit from the time it leaves Greece til the time it hits the olympic games. This year, the olympic games will be held in China, the country that supports Sudan, and as such the genocide in Daufur, and the country who slaughters monks on the streets of Tibet. So people are upset about the Olympic games being held in china...China shouldn't have an Olympic game?

...i think i understand. You know Hitler came up with the idea for this Torch Tour de World, about 8ight years after the torch was started, look what that SmartAss did for the world. If we, the world, support China holding the Olympics, gives China billions of dollars in tourist sales, are we Not support china's international practices? Yes. So if Sarkozy is considering boycotting the Olympics, then so Be it. Is it just about the sports? No. Its about I.R.: International Relations! Running the 4 x 400 on a world stage must be amazing. But not as amazing, or significant as rubbing shoulders with the enemy.

Its not a show, it does not need to "go on"
Hopefully no more torch holders will get beat up, but if they do

Snickers with a Kick

?
I've been eyeing them all year the Limited Edition Snickers Charged. They contain 60 mgs of caffeine, and a ton of B vitamins, and taurine. 60 mgs of caffeine is no joke, two bars equal more caffeine than a Red Bull, at half the cost!

So i bought one, well two, today. I justified this decision because Maja is taking a long drive. Honestly i am using her as a guinea pig, because the idea of a caffeinated candy bar equally excites me and freaks me the out! How can it possibly taste good? Is there any food that taste good with ADDED Caffeine? Energy drinks taste like Chuck Norris piss (i'm not saying i've tasted Chuck Norris's piss, i'm just saying), Hell coffee doesn't even taste good. So i'm gonna let it sit in my car until i am incredibly desperate and starving. And if that day doesn't come i'll toss it to a friend of mine just to gauge there initial reaction.
IF you try one let me know what you think!

personal

?

Jimmy Ray is one of my best friends, thats apparent in the name i call him "jimmy ray" or "jr" but most of you just know him as James Crockett.

Yesterday, while at work, i received three miss calls, back to back, two from bryan, Jr's younger cousin, also one of my best friends, and then Stephen, my brother. It wasn't until i read the text Stephen sent after his call that i understood: "James found Pap dead today. Call me when you can"

I can't explain why it hurts, two of my best friends grandfather passing away. At first i thought it was impact. I called Stephen he was in tears, i call bryan he was in tears, so how could i possibly afford to hold back.
But later last night, when i was driving home, alone, after a decent night out, it hit me again, and when i went over there today to drop off food for the family it hit me again, just like now, its hitting me, and i can't even see the screen or what i'm typing my fingers guide my writing.

So maybe, when my grandfather passed away my senior year of high school, maybe part of me attached my self to Pap in that way. When i was helping him with his groceries, asking him if he needed anything from up stairs, drinking beers next to him at the Legion, watching tv with him downstairs while waiting for jimmy to wake up and bitching about what we are going to do with him! (what are we gonna do with you james?) Maybe all those times i just thought of him as my grandfather....not a replacement of my biological grandfather, but my Pap.
I'm trying to brush this off, I will stay strong through this for Jimmy and for Bryan, hell for Stephen because i know you [Stephen] had a special connection with him. And though i knew this day was coming....its coming for all of us, it not easy, and i sure as hell did not expect to feel like this....i at least expected to know what i was feeling, and right now i have no clue.

If you know Jimmy or Bryan, and hell if you know me, then 10 to 1 you know them, please give them your respects.
Regardless, don't waste your day with anger, never spite anyone, and never go to sleep with a heavy heart. Too many of us know the harsh reality of life: it is short. Too many of us have experienced the loss of a family member, and the loss of close friends.
Live each day to the fullest, and please by kind to each other, stranger or kin.

Busted

?
I totaled my truck today. I hit a (of all the cars in the world) 2005 ES330 Lexus, the Lexus hit the 2006 Expedetion in front of it, and the Expedetion hit the 2003 Accord in front of it! Yep, its possible all my Fault!

Insurance will pay for the other lives i held up today, but not mine. I'm banged up, esp my right side, probably because i drive a stick shift. Which, btw, i don't ever my seat belt because i drive a truck and Georgia law (use to) say[s] that you do not need to wear a seat belt if you are driving a passenger truck. I'd been worse Had i been wearing my seat belt!

Part of me is happy this happened...yes i just wasted 1600 bucks on a new engine for my truck, just got a new bummer, clutch driveshaft yadda yadda yadda.
Now i have the uncomfortable luxury of buying a new car. I'm sticking with CarMax and i'm thinking 04 FOrd Explorer , but i also have my eye on a 05 Jeep Laredo. Anyone have any other suggestions? I need space and decent mileage.

aside
Its come to my attention there are people in this world who've never seen Micheal Jackosn's Thriller Video ooooorrr this!

?

no no don't get me wrong, i love the whole gay thing, just Ellen has that sense of humor that i just don't get or prefer to watch. Kinda of like Friends.
