Its not that simple. What is simple enough is that the word Nigger is the most offensive word in American history. Unlike other racial slurs Nigger, was solely devised to negatively describe Black Americans.  It is not a spin off of a word, or once a harmless characteristc. It is not okay for anyone to use the word, regardless of race, cultural background, education or lack there of, etc.
But lets take it a step further..


White Friends, just so you know it is offensive to commonly compare someone's skin colour as 'Black as that board".. or black anything..because when you do, you instantly note that you, as a white person, see first, and foremost, our "differences." We are not novelties. Paula, who up into a to recent past asked that her black employees to dress as slaves for parties. Who wanted a Plantation style wedding for her son( ie SLAVES) She also openly admits that her Grandfather wanted the South to win the Civil War so that he could hold on to his workers..Not workers Paula, SLAVES.
But realically, Paula Deen is outdated (no pun intended), in the days of Yoga and Gluten Free, Vegan living, what place do we really have for a butter loving chef? None.

Las Vegas has far from a clean reputation, but in Forbes' list of America's Most Toxic Cities, Las Vegas is named the least toxic of 40 major metropolitan areas.

Forbes ranked the cities based on the number of Superfund sites in the principal city, number of facilities that release toxic chemicals, amount of toxic chemicals released in the area and air quality ranking.

Following Las Vegas as the top 10 least toxic cities are Sacramento, Riverside, Austin, Seattle, San Diego, Virginia Beach, San Jose, New York and Phoenix.

Surprised to see a major city like New York in the top ten cleanest? Forbes explains:

Crowded urban areas are often thought of as the most polluted, but the latter isn't always caused by the former. While the Atlanta metro area takes top honors for toxicity, don't blame the city alone. The Atlanta metro includes the cities of Sandy Springs and Marietta, the sites of chemical plants, metal coaters and concrete factories. The cities have toxic-release levels equal at or higher than those Atlanta, in spite of populations that are 15% and 13% the size of Atlanta's, respectively.

The title of most toxic city goes to Atlanta, followed by Detroit, Houston, Chicago, Philadelphia, Cleveland, Los Angeles, Jacksonville, Baltimore and Portland.

In some cases it's not the main city itself that is to blame for poor air or dirty water. As Forbes explains, much of the pollution for some cities comes from factories and plants in surrounding areas.

"...while the Philadelphia metro area is our fourth most toxic area, the City of Brotherly Love doesn't hold the bulk of the blame for the pollution. Factories in smaller Wilmington, Del., in the same metro area, reported releasing 57% more pounds of toxins than Philadelphia in 2007. WASHINGTON -- After an emotional debate, the D.C. Council has given final approval to legislation that recognizes same-sex marriages performed in other jurisdictions.

Tuesday's vote is considered the first step toward eventually allowing gay marriages to be performed in Washington.

The issue now goes before Congress, which has final say over the city's laws.

The vote was 12-to-1, with former Mayor Marion Barry casting the lone opposing vote. He called it an "agonizing and difficult decision" that he made after prayer and consulting with the religious community.

sorry guys i thought i published a post about the Bar Louie 2009 Rock the Tots competition last night. Yours truly was a paramedic and i am happy to report that no one died!
Congrats to Jared for winning the BL employee TTEC and Congrats to Big Bess on winning the overall TTEC by eating 2.8 pounds of tater tots.



On another note. I am gearing up to work with the guys at That Fresh Radio Piece to host a show on renters rights and the lack there of. We recently discovered that our house is being foreclosed on because our landlord Licensed Long and Foster Agent Charles "Chuck" Bailey intentionally did so. What did he do with the money? That doesn't matter. The fact is someone sought to took their negative karma and passed it onto others and across the country honest people are being screwed over by greedy predators out for their self interest. There are few rights protecting renters and that must change. Renters need justice, and the dishonest unAmericans who are taking advantage of their neighbors need to be called out, abashed.

"In Iowa Gay Marriage Ruling, Truth is the Winner

A new report shows that when Americans are assured that clergy aren't required to perform same-sex marriages an interesting thing happens.

Religious Right leaders have consistently tried to build opposition to marriage equality by portraying marriage equality and religious liberty as incompatible. People For the American Way Foundation’s recent Right Wing Watch In Focus report documented the deceptive ways that Religious Right leaders blur the distinction between civil and religious marriage.

There’s power to the religious liberty argument—on the marriage equality side, that is. Two polls cited in the PFAWF report show that, when Americans who don’t initially support allowing same-sex couples to get married are asked a followup—“If the law guaranteed that no church or congregation would be required to perform marriages for same-sex couples, I would support allowing gay couples to legally marry,” support for marriage equality jumps a remarkable 12 to 14 percent. There’s a lot of public support to be gained by debunking the Religious Right on this front.

That’s why it was especially gratifying that the Iowa Supreme Court’s unanimous ruling devoted considerable space to dealing respectfully with religious objections to same-sex marriage and explaining clearly why religious beliefs about marriage cannot override the constitutional principle of equality when it comes to civil marriage. Here’s the concluding portion of the Court’s section on religion:

In the final analysis, we give respect to the views of all Iowans on the issue of same-sex marriage—religious or otherwise—by giving respect to our constitutional principles. These principles require that the state recognize both opposite-sex and same-sex civil marriage. Religious doctrine and views contrary to this principle of law are unaffected, and people can continue to associate with the religion that best reflects their views. A religious denomination can still define marriage as a union between a man and a woman, and a marriage ceremony performed by a minister, priest, rabbi, or other person ordained or designated as a leader of the person’s religious faith does not lose its meaning as a sacrament or other religious institution. The sanctity of all religious marriages celebrated in the future will have the same meaning as those celebrated in the past. The only difference is civil marriage will now take on a new meaning that reflects a more complete understanding of equal protection of the law. This result is what our constitution requires.

If every state...well the conservative states, approached gay marriage in this non secular light more people would accept this idea. Even for me. I never understood how people can be sooo passionate against preventing love between two people. But to "clear it[gay marriage]" of religious connections to redneck churc..i mean conservative churches you essentially break down all arguments against gay marriage. THe only legit arguments left are for people are are hell bent on believe that homosexual is a "sickness" (thats a reference to Mr. Haggard.)

Ok so Props to the Lunar eclipse last night, (a full moon was blocked from the sun, because of the earths shadow) we (on the western hemisphere) get another one in 2010.

Last two nights went out for my Best friends Birthday, pictures are soon to come, sTs i hope you enjoyed.

Lessons learned:
1. Never give a drunk person your keys for any reason, i don't care if he or she claims to have a carton of cigs in the car, or a screaming baby: JUST SAY NO.

2. Young Couples that are cool and non possessive about each other and don't care who they dance with Kick ass.

3. Everyone thinks i'm a guy, and i don't know if i like that.

4. The hip-hop room at MJQ smells like balls, gross sweaty balls.

5. The girl at the coat check at MJQ looks like a super cool kick.....but i think i was to drunk, and i'm sure she didn't hear me say that (so if anyone knows her tell to sign on to LaChabenn.com!)

I was working at Kennesaw State University in awesome Kennesaw, Georgia when i stumbled across a lovely Anti-Gay protest. G-d does hate Fags and Homos, at least that is what he told this guy and his friends.





Sadly though, i think this is a good portion of the reason that Southern Baptist get such bad wrap...or maybe just one of the many many reasons.
